And right next to the sweet Pontiac was this Red Beauty, a (I think) '68 Pontiac GTO convertable. I learned that the owner of this car is selling it and asking $21,500.00 for her.

Sry for posting again, but here's a link to a site all about GTO history. Maybe you'll be better than me to distinguish if it's a '70 or '71.

Oh, and if I was you, I wouldn't change the engine. Cuz when you start doing that, most of the time, you have to start playing with the transmission or replace it, and tweak suspension if the engine is heavier, and if the engine's bigger, then you gotta figure where to put the things that are all around the engine (battery, wireing, fluids bottles, etc.).
Still, it's your choice. Good luck in your try to aquire car! ^^

I see... Though, it would be weird to put some MOPAR on a GM... Maybe you should try to find a 454 and hear it out... You might like the sound of it and it might cost less than a Hemi...
Hemis are really overpriced... Sure they were the best engine around in the '60-'70 and the race leagues banned them for unfair advantage, but still, paying around a million to get a Hemi...
