Battle Ready Artemessa
The Goddess of the Hunt’s massive hooves punched hole in the residential street she traveled down with a crouch. Her electric field dampening all sounds of rock and flattened metal outside of radius. Only when up close to the Flaaffy was there any audible sound that was coupled with a buzzing hum via the field.
Even at a crouch, Artemessa still towered at 50 feet, still above the 2 story homes and trees but her slow movement made her harder notice at a glance.
Residents were whisped away from the shadow monsters attacking the city. The Flaaffy could make out a trail of little needle point craters from the spider like, eyeless canines she hunted.
Artemessa stepped squarely on a bus at an intersection, taking no heed to the mortal just a head that was missed in the evacuation somehow. She could see one of a shadow creature skittering up a tall apartment building likely to get a better vantage point.
The archer drew her bow, withdrawing an arrow from her quiver she wore over her bouncy, bubbly posterior. She took aim, held her breath, and released an arrow. The special tip that glowed faintly like the sun, possessed a similar sound dampening power, completely dampening the otherwise sonic boom it would have uttered…
I wanted to return a favor to
SaintAbsol for some help he gave not too long ago, and figured I’d do this picture of the character of mine he is the biggest fan of, Artemessa the Flaaffy. =w=
This pose and scene, wtf, I don’t know how I really came up with it and made it so nice. @.@ It’s among the best compositions I ever did. Extremely dynamic but still captures all the core appealing features SaintAbsol would want.
This picture I believe was started before Absol was officially inserted into my world to serve Artemessa, otherwise I probably would have put him there instead of my Pokesona Clypse.
Done with Prismacolor and graphite pencils on white card stock paper.
