I didn't say i knew NOTHING. I have gone in depth on the backgrounds and then some systems for almost every religion I knew of (and then some). I even took a class on it. I meant that I just hadnt READ the actual texts or anything of most religions, since the bible was the only accessible one. So Im not sure what they wrote. Just the backgrounds. and on that knowledge I have, I decided what makes sense and what doesn't lol.
Eh... Not completely. People need a reason to feel important. If not for anything else, religion is always there. Though I disagree with a lot of points in specifics religions, and def with the mainstream religions, everyone needs SOMETHING to fall back on. Plus, it's easier to answer that "Where do we come from?" question.

Lol no... that's not what I was saying. I wasnt saying "Life gets hard so they bitch back to their diety and expect it will all be okay". I was saying it could support them MENTALLY to feel like someone cares.

He's just a silent god and that's all there is too it. If you seek prayer and help from ANY OTHER sort of a god/dess, they answer in some form, and I can prove it. It's only the christian and catholic god/savior that does absolutely nothing when spoken to in any form.

It's hard to believe unless you see. I wish I could show you, it'd be fun. I have proof, it shows in my every day life. And i could tell you several examples. Like asking for safety, for help in decisions, help repelling negative influence, increasing luck.
