A little bit of a vent...

I only met her once, ironically, at my own mother's funeral, my brother knew her a little better, as he had visited the family more often. But, I could tell then that she was a woman of exceptional character. She had an internal joy that belied her condition. She suffered from Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, or butterfly skin. Effectively, she lived life like a perpetual burn victim. Despite that she fought her way to age 18 and graduated high school. Something a lot of children with her state never accomplish. She was amazing and inspirational to us all. I know your reward will be great for this trial that you had to endure on earth. I wish I had something more to give than this small elegy...
