I started this work back in October, but I gave up. Removed junk files recently and found this sketch. I decided to finish it. It was a very interesting drawing experience. This is my first time drawing children. For a flashmob in VK. Its intention is to show the characters to children and adults. My characters (project "Traitors") are Diego (blond) and Renold, his younger brother.
The weird shawl on the thighs - is shaa. The invariable attribute of Sunland, acting as a kind of "passport" revealing your origin. Each region of the south has its own color and pattern. In children (boys) from 9 to 14 years old, the shaa is without a pattern, and the color indicates exclusively the estate of the father (clergy, artisan, military, etc.).
And in the adult version, the scene is presented when Renold saw his brother for the last time. A year before the events of the prologue.

Thank you so much! I am so glad to know that someone wants to hug them! I tried very hard and redrawn children's faces several times.
