Stichopus tremulus, a sea cucumber. Known as "Red sausage", when translated directly from Norwegian. A peaceful critter that slowly creeps along, munching algae and detritus from the sea floor. Rather popular for aquariums, as they keep any and all growth of algae down on zero by eating everything that settles.

That'd be the small aquarium located at Tjärnö Marine Biological Laboratory, where I'm currently studying. They've got a tiny little one-room aquarium with a few tanks showing a couple of habitats you can find in the waters just outside - deep soft bottom, Zostera marina forests, and the like. filthy trickery to entertain civilian visitors, of course... Though we students gleefully run around in there too, naturally
