Gosh, we've been through so much together, haven't we?

It's nearing 3 years since we laid down on the pier together, looking up at the Milky Way with all its nebulas and stars, while the full moon turned the dark water into silver at our feet. I will never forget that moment. Ever since we've been bonded by more and more shared interests and experiences, and perhaps one of the most wonderful and amazing ones we have together is the deeply rooted love for science and the everlasting curiosity to explore space together. To once be able to travel to other planets and traverse the galaxy. So many hours we've spent just looking up at the night sky together, watching meteor showers, northern lights or just dreamed of a different time. We even named our son after a star, heh~

Today was a very good day for me. We had a wonderful morning together with a really tasty breakfast, after which we went out on one of our drives to explore, and ended up by the coast where we watched the sun set, setting the water ablaze with its intense orange light. And all done on a wonderful almost summer warm spring day with clear blue sky and bright sunshine. On top of that, today I also won a battle with a state agency. For once, good news all around from start til end.

So here we see the two dragons again in their true element. Snuggled up on the beach right next to the sea that is Val's home. Bigger as she is, she wraps her wing around her smaller partner to shield him from any harm, as well as the chill of the coastal nights. The full moon shines bright behind them, turning the deep waters into silver and above them, the vast and endless space opens up to them, so filled with endless possibilities and opportunities. So many ways to go in such an enormous world. This moment could never be more beautiful. The black drake snuggles up under her chin affectionately, and she softly rubs her chin over his head and nuzzles. It's peaceful, and for the moment, they are alone in the world. Just the two of them, together, in an endless universe. To some that might be scary, but to them its soothing; and they couldn't be happier to have each other as their forepaws cross, digits curl and interlock. For I am his, and he is mine.

We shoot for the starts - together. And as long as we're together, nothing can stop us. You are my rocket fuel and I am your coolant. You are my pilot and I am your navigator. You are my water and I am your oxygen. A team, battlemates, two horses that pull the same carriage. We make sure that we reach our goals together, lifting each other up. You are more than anything I could ever ask for in a partner, and I love you dearly my sweet. Ever onward to new horizons~
