So the word Dandelion originally came from several translations, Diente de Leon in the Latin language, Dens Lionis in the Old Latin, which then translates to English as Lion’s Tooth which describes the shape of the leaves.
The name Dandelion stuck nowadays because of how cheerful and dapper and Lion like the weed and flower looks, and it rolls off the tongue nicely.
