The fresh liquid-tite would suggest a recent rewiring so it may be operable. Where is this?

A searchlight signal, this Wigwag and the much newer RACO crossing signal/gate all have a lovely new coat of paint as does the WP caboose. It could be operable, but there is no indication it is. Other than the fresh paint these signals sat at the old location much the same way.

This area is rich with these Wigwags, one at Niles, and three at or near the Niles Canyon Railway's Brightside yard. The three on the NCRy are all operable and still guard crossings.

On a recent trip back to this depot it is indeed still operable. I'll have a video out on youtube shortly which has a somewhat clumsy shot of it in operation. Look for some static shots of it in the next few days and I'll have the video link listed.

Yah, I love watching them. I grew up with WRRS's version of these and I have fond memories of them.

I never got the enjoyment of seeing one work.
