The frames themselves are assets based on real likenesses, that are then painted over with a water brush, filtered a couple times and touched up in SAI. Doing them straight from a sketch is easy as well and usually my preffered method; but, as this was an in-stream and I was tight scheduled, I did my secondary technique.
