So, in a discussion with Davis Schmoker, he wondered about doing a single panel picture. That got me wondering about it too. So above is an example of doing a character portrait in a "vintage comic style" This would be flat colored, using the Limited DC Comics color pallette, then halftoned. The drawing would be done using traditional inking tools, then scanned. Not sure if I would send out the originals as shipping is getting expensive in the age of COVID-19, but I could be convinced. I would price this at $120.00 US per figure, as it is color work. IF anyone would be interested, I would would open three slots for commissions if anyone is interested.

The base colors were Cyan Magenta and Yellow, and black was handled in the inks. Those three colors were mixed in 25% increments, so that the production staff could look at the color guides and cut Rubylith stencils at the proper percentages to create the colors closely to the guides. This gave something of around 48 colors.

BEfore i got into working on video games, I did comics and illustration, so I tend to ink in comic style. I've been going back to traditional media for a while since my computer is slowly falling apart. Hope to get a new machine soon so I can get back to my normal 3D and digital painting work.
