I don't like Monster Hunter.
Since my first experinece with Tri, years back on my old Wii, I didn't had a good time with it. I thought it was hard, slow, confusing to control and gathering material wasn't my thing. But I admit it was nice watching my bother play it, at least.
Weirdely enough, whenever there was a new game anounced, I would watch the trailer during the Direct, still have no interest, but I would download the demo. Sure, I played it like, 3 times max, would still feel bored and frustated, then uninstall it. But that happened every time a new game was announced. Tri Ultimate, 4 Ultimate, Generations and even Stories! I never understood why I keep trying play it. Is not like I had interested on the franchise or had friends that played it.
When Rise was announced, the same happened again. I didn't paid much attention to the trailer and download the demo anyway. But this time something clicked. For the first time I was having fun with it! I tried all the weapons, explored the whole map, tried the advanced stuff, stopped and smell the roses! I have no idea what happened, but I had a good time. I even used my time avaliable with it and am hyped for its release.
I have been whating a bunch of videos about the series adjusting my saving to see if I can buy it when my birthday comes. Gosh, I may even draw a real hunting fan art in the future. Or comission something more naughty XD
And this pic? I like dogs and thought the meowcernaries were fun, gliding around in the ninja kites.

It's funny that sometimes you don't like a certain game series, but then one game stands out of them and is actually even fun to play. Of course it's always about personal taste and maybe somebody else likes a particular game of the series more and dislikes others for that. Especially hardcore fans of a game often dislike continuations of a series or new players of an older series don't like the old games, because they have no feeling of nostalgia for it.
But nice you found of the games of this series enjoyable to play, that certainly speaks for the game itself. I am not really into the Monster Hunter series, but I can imagine it can be a lot of fun under the right circumstances.
In any case, your artwork is definitely nice and I always found ninjas on kites a funny concept, in other games too. So definitely a sweet shot to create as artwork, I also really like the dogs outfit, good job!
