The sounds of the bustling city were less here than further towards the heart. The heat was pleasing and the wind was crisp and clean. Nothing could spoil this day for Xochitl in the paradise she had helped create. Now decades after she had arrived and set in motion a technological revolution, she was free to walk amongst the elevated civilization that had been so hospitable to her. Though she still caught many confused stares from locals, most recognized her and offered cheerful smiles or friendly waves. The alien was very happy.

The walk home in the mid-afternoon was well spent with the company of her roommate, Chaz, with whom she shared a luxurious apartment on the edge of the city. They chatted between sips of delicious nano-boba tea, every bursting pod filled with exquisite flavors that were too fantastic to describe. It was a lovely day.
