Malacaroos - protagonist of The Chronicles of Zeal ~ Obelisk - facing off against Heinrich Schmidt, one of the Crusaders of the Inquisitors in Kanta-Eyeceklero, 31st Section of Obelisk. Malacaroos is wielding a shortsword here. Good thing it is enchanted with Ariro (Chaos), or else it wouldn't have stood a chance against the Heinrich's mighty broadsword.

Malacaroos is a member of Reid Incarnate, a guild formed during the Twilight War to battle Klifareta, godess of conflict, war, and destruction. However, the Inquisitors, loyal to Klifareta, try their best to bring it back. Currently, they have ressurected the giant mobile base Obelisk and landed it only a few dozen miles outside Aidenous, capital of the monarchy with the same name. It is unknown what they are trying to do precicely, but with followers of the godess of war, destruction, and conflict the general direction is bound to be bad.

Unable to attack Obelisk directly due to a powerful force field, the nations of the world hired the elite-fighters of Reid Incarnate to infiltrate Obelisk and destroy its power source, beleived to be either one or more Iserial crystals.

At this point, the Inquisitors have already managed to dispatch a great deal of the Reid Incarnate infiltrators. Malacaroos is one of the few remaining, fighting not only for his own life, but also for vengance for his fallen comerades and for the safety of maybe the entire world.
