As a photographer there are a few things you have to do all the time. One: Always have your camera on you. Two: Don't be shy about whipping it out at a moments notice with the biggest telephoto lens you have. Three: Accept people are going to look at you weird. Four: Don't forget to charge your batteries, or bring extra memory cards.
So, standing outside of the restaurant I was in a conversation about how good the calzone I had just eaten was. [Seriously, it was really good]. The next thing my friends know I'm rummaging around in the back of my car, I can feel their eyes rolling. They know what's about to happen, even if the other patrons of the parking lot have no idea yet. Out comes my FLM tripod legs unfurling for the world to see, camera with the telephoto getting locked into the clamp. The sky was just to good, and I apologize for NOTHING.

Yeah, I was getting some dirty looks in the parking lot. Not my fault the best place to get the photo is where you want to drive :p
