So, character stuff. June is a unicorn. Unicorns are stereotypically snobby about art and elegance, often being in royalty. However, June isn't a pure blooded unicorn, momma was a rapidash. The pokemon, yesyes. No royalty there, but she still wound up with some of the snob for art, but also has a working class upbringing with momma. So why not combine the two? Welding is an art, there's a ton of skill involved in doing it RIGHT, and there's a lot of pride one takes in the trade. Also being a rapidash, June doesn't mind the hot enviornments and small boxes with plasma blasting around. It's almost pleasant aside from the smell. Even burns aren't too bad.
