Not to distant future airial combat vehicle.
The SAF-82b is one of the smallest, fastest and most manuverable combat vehicles employed in the modern combat theatre.
Able to flip end to end in and out of atmo and travel at Mach4 in atmo, the LightStep is usually employed as an interceptor or fast strike craft.
It has a remarkably long range for such a small craft, easily matching fighters built at the turn of the Millenium.
An array of WASP air to air missiles are it's usual payload along with twin 30mm cannons and two nose mounted .70 callibre machine guns, although it can be armed with air to ground missiles, such as the GB80, or a mixture of both.
Although a design nearly 20 years old, the LightStep still leads the way in modern military interceptors and was the first to have ship-to-ship docking clamps installed as standard.
A favourite with pilots, ground crew, gunship pilots and the soldiers they help, the LightStep is set to have a place in the cobat theatre for years to come.
I'm proud of this one, even though I had to copy and paste to make a whole plane.
