lamia amulet
This young lady is learning the hard way you gotta be careful about the enchanted items you pick up!
This adventure has taken a strange turn. I suppose she was hoping this mysterious amulet she found in these old ruins would be maybe some protective enchantment or something.
Well, now she's going to have some... changes to her lifestyle until she can get the curse removed.
Assuming it can be... you know, turned back at all.
I was very very happy with this one haha. It was just one of those pose ideas I wanted to sketch out and boom, it worked so well. I wanted to create the feel of the lamia parts being over just enough of her body that it sorta creates a sense of wearing them, youknow?
Also I'm not used to doing backgrounds but I felt like this picture needed one. I was trying to make it very blurry and abstract with blooms of colours but it didn't really work, just sorta became a background lol. I like how the blurring came out though.
but I've been enamoured with this piece since I finished it <3 I'm so happy with how the character came out.

I love shows or whatever with mermaids in them and I do love the transformation parts of them though, like every time they get wet and transform into a mermaid and have to hide themselves and such. Especially the first time when you get all the confusion and surprise from turning for the first time they touch water after becoming a mermaid haha. or after the transformation itself if it was immediate.
I may write a bunch of little things in my head about these sorts of scenes XD

I remember one episode of H20 one of the main characters got splished at a sleepover party and ran into the closet and everyone's like huh what she doin'? and then they open the door and she falls out somehow having gotten inside a sleeping bag and is just like "Time for bed!"
but inside the sleeping bag she is a fish!

but that show is fun for mermaid tf scenes.

Like I can't say I'm usually into mermaids going through a full skin shifting transformatio nevery time, but I like some magic sparkles and glowy shapes shifting and changing from legs to tail, just silhouetted almsot like a magical girl transformation lol.
Just as a brief thing.
though in sims 4 I kinda like the way when mermaid sims get into the bath they sorta just flip their legs over the side of the bath and it changes to the tail and it just looks like their legs sorta become boneless for a second and fwap together into tail in like an instant. that's kinda fun haha.
