This is a silly idea I just ran with. I haven't seen the new Tom & Jerry movie, but I did just watch 'Stan & Ollie.'
It's a sweet little movie about Laurel & Hardy in their twilight years, arguing and tweaking each other but still performing and coming up with new routines, because it's what they do best.
And I started imagining Tom and Jerry the same way - as two aged comedy pros still trading gags with each other, because their chemistry still stays strong after 80 years. Movies may come and go but they'll always have each other.
