"Okay, so..." Constantine began. "That squeal was obviously Sher. Ah boy... what did she bump into THIS time...?"
"Oh don't fret, my little biter," Bayusha said reassuringly. "You know Sher. Whatever problem is, probably not as bad as she thinks, no?"
Constantine thought about this for a moment. "... That's true," he admitted, attempting to think positive... though it didn't work. "... Although, that crash was awfully loud..."
"Oh stop the worries, darling," Bayusha replied as she began to crane her neck above the buildings once again for a good look at whatever happened. "I sure it easily fixable-" She trailed off when she saw it. "... Oh..."
The Compy on her snout gasped, throwing his hands on his head and staring with his mouth agape. There, in front of them, was a whimpering Stego, with her tail spikes lodged in a building, which leaned, pushing against the adjacent buildings and causing them all to lean as well, all the way down the block. Below her, a bus was crushed under her foot, next to the bus stop leading to the park, and there were some small citizens standing beneath her, though rather than running, or gawking, they were yelling. Constantine listened closely, and he could make out a few angry rants.
"That was my bus to work! YOU'VE MADE ME LATE!"
"My PURSE was in there!"
"How do I explain this to the bus depot?!"
'THAT'S why they're complaining?' Constantine thought. 'Not about almost getting squashed?'
"I-I'm sorry! Please, d-don't be mad! I-I..." Sherazade stuttered as she struggled to process the bus she had crushed, the row of buildings, and the people yelling. "I... I'M SO SORRY..." she sobbed.
Bayusha quickly attempted to break the tension. "Sher, darling?" she said softly. "What happened?"
"H-huh?" Sherazade looked back to see the Brachio, her warming, expression enough to slightly calm her down. "Oh, Bay... I... I was just walking and then... there was a bus. I didn't see it there and... I stumbled, and then my tail... my thaggy..." She covered her eyes and pointed at the leaning skyscrapers. "I didn't mean to! Honest!"
"Now just calm down, darling..." Bayusha said in the calmest voice she could to ease the Stego's nerves. "I believe you."
"I'm sorry," Sherazade said glumly. "I failed what you taught me..."
"It's okay darling," replied Bayusha. "Crossing city is not easiest thing in world, you know. It took me many tries to perfect skill."
"Perfect...?" Constantine grunted, turning and looking the Brachio square in the eye in disbelief.
Bayusha snorted, glancing away for a moment and blushing. "Point is," she continued. "Don't be hard on yourself."
Sherazade sighed and nodded. "Oh... okay, if you say so... I just..." She looked at her tail again. "I just hope I didn't hurt anyone with my thaggy..."
"I'm sure tinies are fine," Bayusha said, with as much hope as she could muster. "... But if not, hospital is on Sixth Street."
"Uh... th-thanks..." Sherazade said.
Meanwhile, Constantine had kept his mouth shut the whole time. As many things as he wanted to say, he couldn't bring himself to be that tense toward the timid Stego. He sighed, and finally spoke. "Well, if you want to help get the building upright, you could, if that makes you feel better. First though, You might want to wait until everyone is out, all right?"
"Oh don't worry," Sherazade said, slightly matter-of-factly. "I don't think I want to move again just yet anyway."
"Say uh... where's Abby?" Constantine asked.
"Oh, she's in the park," Sherazade said, pointing towards where the concrete jungle broke away for a section of lush green.
"Welp, couldn't hurt to just check on her I guess. You know the drill, Bay."
Bayusha nodded (gently to avoid throwing the Compy off his perch), and stomped off towards the park. "Only, no sound to follow this time," she said with a chuckle.
"Good, that means no damage," Constantine said. "I hope..."
Part four!
Sherazade is sweet, but also a klutz. She'd never try to hurt anyone that much smaller than her... at least, not on purpose.
Also, for anyone wondering why she calls her tail a "thaggy", the spikes at the end of a Stegosaurus tail are affectionately called a "thagomizer". I only learned that recently, but I kinda like it.
Enjoy!
