Looks like Palúrien wanted a pet dragon, so she decided to transform Glaurung so he's a feral dragon instead of an anthro one. While he can still use magic, he isn't skilled enough to change himself back to his normal self, so he's kind of stuck like this. Naturally, he's annoyed, but Palúrien isn't that mean and will happily feed him foods and will eventually change him back.
