You know what? I'm starting to grow somewhat attached to this little slash. Still annoyed at Joker jokes, but meh!
The current commission I'm working on is REALLY frustrating me, so I took a quick break to paint this.
A few of you know that my character, Tom (also known as Superslick) is in the habit of wearing 1930's mobster fashion. He loves his suits, and he's especially fond of deep red (I refer you to my avatar). For some reason, the only picture submitted of him here had him wearing a ridiculous skin-tight bodysuit. >.>
Here's a more-realistic-than-the-norm rendering of Tom. I've decided to give him the same scrapes as I have currently, because I felt it'd be more suited to a realistic picture than his average ear-to-ear, and, as some of my older fans and friends would know, one of his original designs also had a glasgow grin. A lovely coincidence, I know.
I can't claim this as fully my doing, as I got lighting and facial references directly from various photos of me (yes, this is modelled after my face), but this is all a part of learning and artistic growth, no?
Painted in OpenCanvas 1, before running through craploads of PS filters. LOVE how the clothes turned out.
