I was recently introduced to the Empires comic series in the first four volumes of the Complete YARF! collection. Anyway, I was inspired to create my own Centrality tank commander, one Lieutenant Drake Rhein. Lieutenant Rhein commands the tank known as the "Aces and Eights", or the "Dead Man's Hand".

I cannot wait for Jarlidium Press to start printing Volume Five so I can read more of the story as Volumes 1 through 4 only cover Issues 0 through 20 of YARF!. Sadly it will be some years before I am able to read the entire story. But, another military comic series from the 1990s that I love is the collective Families of Altered Wars comics by Ted Nomura (Luftwaffe 1946, Tigers of Terra, etc...).

Hey, what up?
Glad to hear folks out there are still interested. I'm actually planning on reprinting my trade paperback collections sometime soon, with some commentary pages added and new color covers and the like. Otherwise it'll be faithful to the original.
I might start posting some stuff here, gods know I have tons and tons of art from that era. A lot of developmental art from a project that never materialized and some other ideas I toyed with. But the truth is, right now my original "Empires" chapters are all being used at Patreon for subscribers. I'm hoping to generate some income for current projects, the book reprints, and some more future projects (including an Empires reboot).
I've also got stuff from the failed "Empitres: Thunderhead" that ran once in Furrlough, as well as the "Empires: Borderline" that went from Mythagoras to Huzzah before I finally threw in the towel.
Here's the Patreon if you're interested: https://www.patreon.com/Coyote
And here's my current project, a comedy interp of my deployment to Iraq: https://www.bohicablues.com/ (non-furry).
I have a lot of stuff coming, I started doing comics again just a few years ago and am now hoping to ramp up a bunch of new projects.
