quick little doodle for
Justathereptile If ya haven't guessed by the thing energy sword on the ground, Elites won't be playable for Halo Infinite. Now I know that really isn't a big deal for alot of people, though personally I feel that after almost 9 years of not being able to play as the Sanghelli in a new Halo game, Justa was really hoping things would turn around a bit, especially after split screen was nonexistant in Halo 5.
Now sure I get that the Cheif is the focus of the campaign this isn't something I mind at all, but I think we've already had 2 straight games of just Spartans slapping rifles together, and would've been a nice change of pace. Ironically the playable Sanghelli was the door that opened up and part of the main reason Justa and I were wanting to get into the series in the first place, in a time where the only thing you can be was basically the same species as you, it was always refreshing (and the ultimate fantasy for us btw) to play as something that's NOT human. It's why games like Killer Instinct, Primal Rage, and Soul Calibar (the ones where you can play as Aeon/Lizardman) are alwas at the forfront of our minds. I wish more games nowadays would do that and give us the oppurtunity to step out of the mundane flesh of reality and slip into the skin of something that to me would be more interesting. Hell I'd TOTALLY kill for a Monster Hunter fighting game where you're ACTUALLY the monster, not commanding the monster, not doing tricks to control the monster, but you ARE the Monster. Maneater's been able to do that for a bit, but seriously the game industry's really losing out on such awesome stuff like this.
Rambling aside, the hype definitely died for my brother for Halo Infinite, which is sad, cause I was looking forward to playing with him in a brand new halo game. I myself might still pick it up looong after launch (as soon as I can get an Xbox One X >->) But Halo Infinite's not a priority as it once was,a nd I fear even I won't be able to play it for too long, as ico-oping Halo was always something of a tradition for us. And it's even more bumming sense we won't be able to march our hooved boots on the battlefield together on new soil. Again it may not seem like a big deal for some people, and that's totally fine, Hell I'm sure some of you prefer to stick to the human vs human gameplay, which is fine and all but if they only relegated sanghelli to social, those who wanna stick to spartan only can rough it on competitive if they choose too. But this one mere optional feature was the hook that goe us into the Halo series, and after a long time it would be nice to have that hook again.

I agree. We've already got two straight games of Spartan v Spartan. I'd like to have the mix back just like in Halo3. I've herd some people's arguments, but personally I never had a problen taking out elites alongside spartains, even in Swat, they all go down the same.
TBH It's better than Halo5 so far, the old art style is back, it's got some good promisng weapons and features so far, and even split screen, that already puts it leagues above Halo5. If the forge comes later down the line and is an improvement over Halo 5's forge, that automatically makes it even better. However lack of playable elites was the deal breaker for Justa.
Wasn't split screen also a thing with H5? Correct me if I am wrong.
Also, if luck wants it, it may get modding support on PC...
So perhaps he'll get lucky and the community will add those back.
Otherwise I've seen a lot of people disappointed for one reason or another... Atleast it seems like they are listening to feedback and improving things as they go.
If enough people complain about the lack of playable Elite's maybe... They'll add them back? I guess that depends mostly on what the community thinks on the subject.
Last but not least... Infinite is coming to PC, if anything. Halo 5 couldn't even manage to land on Steam :/

H5 never had splitscreen no. But after some thinking, the idea that is a never say never mentality that may of improved his outlook on the issue, but only negliably. 343 says they love Elites, but I have yet to see them prove such a thing, lol. I'd say they put their money where their mouth is.
They did listen to some feedback for sure, but still, adding the Elites would be the biggest sign of that. We'll have to see, though reaosnbly Justa has no optimism about that, at least not yet. It's a similar situation with Reptile in MK11 and Aeon in Soul Calibur, he is chomping at the bit, hoping his mains get into their respective games, either he'll be pleased till the VERY last minute, or something else...we'll have to see.
