These are so cool! Is this by any chance like that cotton paper you find in blank journal books?

I think so; I confess that I didn't look carefully enough at the label, but I did notice cloth paper. This is a little tiny blank journal/sketchbook my mom gave me for my birthday, and it has really interesting little shiny gold flecks in it. The neat thing is that the flecks don't seem to hold paint, so they shine through anything you put on them. It's a neat little book; I'm having fun with it.

The drawback is, the paper gets messed up if you try to erase. So, limited applications for me. These tiny octopodes were just freehanded with paint. :)

Ahhh, this must be the same stuff I have in a sketchbook my mom bought me. It was a journal book made in India from some type of cotton fabric so erasing on it makes it really gunked up like you said. I never thought I trying to paint on it before. What kind of paint did you use? :)

I'm using acrylic inks for most of my coloring now. Funny that your mom got you one, too. :)
