From now, my IR pictures will be taken from a modified/custom Nikon D60 in which the "hot mirror" (blue piece of glass at right) has been replaced by a 720nm Low-Pass filter (black glass in the metal frame at left) directly in front of the sensor.
I bought this Nikon D60 used as a second camera dedicated to IR photography.
It allows "normal" exposure time of few fractions of a second(not 5~10 seconds as before) making hand-held shots possible...no more tripod required, as with the viewfinder been unobstructed for easier composition, not more "hot spot" in the middle of the picture and IR shot possible in low light or with my fisheye lens.
