Both versions look real nice! This simple one is perfect as a clean, identifiable icon, while the details in the other one look very pretty.

as soon i was done with the first one i was not happy, first of all i had to make the antlers blue because the sega genisis palette colors on the face made them disappear, making me look like a goat, also the look was a bit boring and i forgot to correct it, then i had to lighten up the tone of the neck floof since it was to beige, the colors of the snout also destroyed the perspective and then it was my first pic of a caribou and i had no idea on how to do the snout

i'm currently working on a better version, taking different markings, testing on colors, learning how to make caribou proportions and use ALL THEM COLORS OF THE RAINBOW (instead of restricting myself with sega genisis)

Oh my, yeah, sounds like that palette restriction made things pretty tough! I think you've absolutely got the skill to work with a full range of colour at this point, and I look forward to the next version!
