Indeed, some people, like myself, have a hard time to move on from a painful past. Much like how Kalita is suffering the hurt started by Roda Kika. There needs to be answers.

The poor girl.... Being hurt by her past links to the Roda Kira and being unsure her future could led her because the gang. Being hurt by the one thing she cared about, her once cool sanctuary, damaging her life and her image. How every in the gang turned bad, that she couldn't turn the gang back to way she wanted it due to being overpowered by its new leader, how Mihu is using the gang's homeless attacks to falsely smear her dirty in public. I feel bad for her.

Flashback ends and Kalita is ready to leave the past behind. It's painful to see her about to put her beloved biker jacket in the trash. As a Combagal, she can't be associated with the Roda Kira Gang anymore. But it's clear that she can't just cut that part away, at least not yet, not without finding out another aspect of her identity.

Technically, it is not necessary to burn the past since it is not a good idea since understanding the past is necessary to know where one stands in the present and build a future based on that. However, taking into account what the new Roda Kira gang is doing I can understand why Kalita wants to do something like that.
