About a year or two ago,  Vinomath and  mallardent did a YCH series known as "Pokémon Prism" - a series of what was planned to be six stories but ended up as five due to the final story being a double-slot affair. They had slots for six different types: Ground, Fighting, Fire, Ice, Dark and Psychic - and they offered three different types of slots - the normal slot, where they got to choose the result, the upgraded slots, which increased the length of the story... and the Legendary slot, which not only was longer like an upgraded slot, but allows the 'victim' to choose what Pokémon they end up as.

Originally, I was intending to grab the Psychic-type slot, but turns out that it had already been claimed, and only the Fighting and Ground slots were left, which was a bit of a bummer as I was originally thinking about getting a Legendary slot with Latias or Latios... or, at least, I think that was my plan. I was bummed out about this, but a short while afterwards, I got a message saying that the Dark Type slot was opened up due to whomever originally wanting it pulling out, and that gave me an idea. Originally, I planned for it to be something for Aurvetty Month 2020... which, as you can guess, meant I planned to end up as a Yveltal at the end. Of course, I didn't end up doing Aurvetty Month for that month, which has led to Vetty forcing me to do a full year this year, but in the end, I think it really paid off.


Anyways, here my human self is dragged into the Prism League by a duck and a Braxien, and originally I was not interested... That was, until they suggested that I could become a Pokémon. Now that caught my attention, and so I agreed to try it out... But, well.

At first, I turned into a Lucario... Or, at least, it appeared that I was a Lucario. But one good hit broke the Illusion... and caused me to have a minor freak out due to the fact that I was a Zoroark - cue flashbacks to Scall's Zoroark which caused me to freeze up. The second one I got turned into was an Absol - a bit easier for my mind to deal with, but still hard to get used to. And then finally, I became a Greninja... or, rather, a Greninja which had a specific colouration, which once part of my mind realised what it was... Well, if Zoroarks give me troubles due to Scall, then that gives me troubles due to the legends surrounding that species. Which is no wonder why I flipped out when my final transformation was into a Yveltal. Good thing Cindy knows how to mentally recondition me...
