looks like some sort of a game trail, or a magic spirit place.
maybe you felt something special there, real magic places are like that.

This place is way to close to populated areas to be a game trail. And I still don't know where or why I took it. or when. I don't even remember anything about it.

well, you'd be surprised maybe, but all sorts of non humans DO pass by REALLY close to where humans live when they know the humans aren't looking. you just need to find someplace where you can sit very still for a very long time where humans are not visible, even if you can hear them making noise, or machines running and what have you. that doesn't make as much difference as people think it does. especially if development in the area is relatively recent. non humans that have lived in the area for a long time are sometimes reluctant to move on, and often instead find places and ways to hide and try to stay out of trouble.

then there are these magical hidden ways called dragon paths, that lead/continue between worlds, though we may not be able awake to know how to fallow their links across space to other worlds. portions of them, where they cross parts of our own world, look just like that. sometimes they're even crawl spaces between buildings in cities. bits and pieces of them can appear anywhere.

and they're often much more spiritual places then where usually people get together for their beliefs. just sayin.
