Villains could be annoying and reckless in their activity. Especially when it comes to evading the long arm of the law and the intervention of superheroes. Too many times has a supervillain or even petty criminals gone overboard in making a darling escape.

They played upon the superhero’s duty to protect citizens from their rampages. Many times that led to collateral damage. Take for example the Pale Shark gang who had currently been engaged in robbing the city’s Second National Bank.

As the gang was surrounded by policy and the Hero Helix Hare moved in. The criminals set off explosives they set inside the building. The charges were attached to foundational supports. Once those were taken out, the bank building started to crumble and collapse in on itself.

While the police were busy evacuating the staff and people instead. The gang had made their escape. Helix Hare had come only to be more preoccupied with catching falling pieces of the ceiling to prevent further damage and injury to the normal people running away.

An especially troublesome piece of the ceiling fractured loose from the supports and hurtled down until its path was arrested by Helix hare. The green suited hero empowered by the serum crafted by mad science became a modern day Atlas. His hewn muscles strained against the weight of the fallen sky. He shifted his stance trying to set it down so that it would not damage the foundations further. There was still work to be done and justice should be relentless. He’ll get back to catching those crooks, just as soon as he could find a moment to lay down his burden.
