Giruvegans-aevis has me do a portrait fro him and I think it turned out really cool! I tried using sort of a gray-colored line here to see if it made the image softer. I wish I could settle on a style, I'm always exploring everytime I do an image, lol.

Well as far as style goes whatever you did here worked really well. The textures and values on the jacket especially!
I think you mentioned in a previous post comment something about your art being different or rougher from popular artists in some way. Well IMO, what you're doing is different, and BETTER! I feel like a lot of the really popular artists kind of share exactly the same aesthetic style on some level. Maybe that's just the inherent clean look a lot of pure digital art has. But anyway, at least to my admittedly amateur eye, you're incorporating light on a more fundamental level and it looks great! Your light values everywhere I think comprise the "roughness" you mentioned. And your illustrations are all the better for it, with more depth and feeling. That stuff packed in between the linework doesn't hold you back at all, it's your strength!
But anyway lol you obviously don't need any help with that, you've got over a decade's worth of work on display here that shows you have a good handle on it.
I'm no expert, I'm just some guy, but wanted to share with you my thoughts on that. Exploration is good though, just keep being you!

That means a lot to me, thanks! I really appreciate the time you took to give me this feedback. I was a professional artist for a brief time, then I had money troubles and got into a very rough, dangerous field of work, made a lot of money there and retired from that field. Got to travel the world and see some insane shit, craziest shit ever, stuff when I tell people about it they call me a liar, lol. that's fine. I invested the money, and built a place for my family. But then my health took a bad turn, we had the fire, and family issues have consumed the lion's share of my hard work. It's been tough. and this entire time, all I've wanted was to be able to get back into making art and entertainment. And there is most competition now than ever before.
