A member of a nomadic species with the ability to shapeshift into a larger, stronger and much more beastly appearance. However, Io hasn't quite perfected his shifting and only manages to shift into a much less imposing form. These nomads roam a desert planet, which is deserted as well, based on all the old, ancient tech lying around. From little bits of strange metal and small devices, to weird obelisks, towering spires and entire wrecks of huge and presumably space ships. Who left them here is unknown to the nomads, but they live with it, scavenge and take the tech apart, tinkering with the devices to repurpose them into various, more simplistic devices for self-defense or exploration. They definitely need to defend themselves too, for they are not the only ones roaming this desert, there's other creatures, wild, some large, some real fast, hunting day and night. The larger threats tend to come out at night more, too. To defend himself, Io built himself a spear that doubles as a walking stave for long travels, it's also pieced together with some tech parts. Not the best design, the pulley starts up an energy surge, overloading the crystal within the metal casing, causing a pretty uncontrolled energy burst, scattering out a little barrel attachment at the top. It's basically a gun spear, but with way too much recoil. Io doesn't fire it often for obvious reasons, he still needs to fine-tune it a lot.
Yesh, finallyyy, for quite some time now this boi has been waiting around to be designed, and I finally did! I needed quite the help with figuring out how to handle human faces but I think I now got a nice technique down for them, or one I can at least draw this boi with X3 The first image showing Io, with relatively little info was back during Inktober 2019! Tread heh, so whee, he's finally here! With all the lore too!
