Dressing up the Sona
I actually designed this possumly green vest on nothing more than a little outdoorsy vest I like to wear, since as a toon I prefer the suggestion of clothes philosopy on animals. But as I am a certified bard and sometimes need to look the part, and there's certainly a lot of fun ways to go with fantasy stuff.
To be honest I had in mind to use the status screen portraits from the third Seiken Densetsu game to make somthing cool with a made up class progression, but I really gotta bow to square again for having the most ridiculously complex and intriguingly impressionistic style in pretty much any given game they make. So with so much work and the need for practice on clothes at all, I had to fall back on my own style in the end.
Nevertheless I did use the palettes found in Kevin and Charlotte/Carlie's class portraits so I hope there's still a little bit of mana magic in here.
