At least the power didn't fail during the monsterization (or de-monsterization) process! Or perhaps such a failure would only result in a intermediate TF as opposed to something more dangerous.

There's probably some kind of backup capacitor bank or something, to make sure any TF in progress will finish properly.

Yes. There are all sorts of safeguards in place. More than on the Enterprise transporters, even! Certainly more than on the Enterprise holodeck. :}

...the holodeck has safeguards? Are you sure? I never noticed any. The damn thing malfunctioned almost every episode it appeared.

Amusingly, according to Lower Decks, when power availability is low and "non-essential" functionality is cut, the holodeck is considered essential to keep on... but its safety protocols are not. XD

No. The transporter only malfunctioned occasionally. The holodeck malfunctioned in the majority of episodes it was ever used in.

And yet in the 4th panel he's writing it on rectangular paper in a way that wouldn't accommodate cutting out a bubble. I'm guessing that's a separate sign. Or a first draft.
