At the time I drew the bottom panel, I'd had very limited experience drawing landscapes. I sort of dropped myself into the deep end of a pool without learning how to swim first, but I gradually figured out what I was doing along the way. I actually really like how the pine branch and the butterfly turned out, though now that I have a bit more experience I know I would've done the background verrrry differently. Still, it was fun trying to figure out a brush style that could pass for a pine needle!
