So, new form for those who don't know that is being added to my list of forms. An absolutely wonderful protogen art piece by the always amazing
Inert-Ren. Go check out his stuff because it is just amazing!
The automatic door accessway to the rooftop begins to slide open, only to get stuck. A large clawed grips the metal door and forces it the rest of the way as the two figures step out onto the rooftop. The industrial landscape far below as the towers reach into the sky, their pillars dragging across the clouds like demonic fingers. A metallic voice sounds out.
"The door appears to be stuck again. Give me a moment as I must fix this again."
The other, smaller, figure stands on the edge of the rooftop, peering out over the industrial cityscape below.
"So.. Khandor.. is what you are called then?" the figure at the door panel calls out.
"Yes."
"I saw what you did this morning.. on the video logs. I also read the reports. I have never seen a protogen pull off what you were able to with so little resources. It was impressive."
"I make due with what I have."
"Indeed.. we could use the skills you have.. a war is brewing in this city.. and I fear it will not end peacefully."
"I spent some time in your archives. I am new to this world.. and this body. It will take time to acclimate to everything, but I can see what you are up against. There's a lot of pain and agony here.. Shame really. I can see where this used to be a nice place.."
The sounds of banging can be heard as the door finally slams shut and secures itself into place. The larger figure turning away from the successful repair to acknowledge the protogen standing on the edge of the rooftop.
"Ever since the artifact was found things have degraded immensely. People have acted differently. Now those of us who are free roam the outskirts while those under the sway of the artifact live a life of luxury and delusion. The military patrols have continued to oppress our people, those of us who are different. They call us illegals, we are shunned from their society.. hunted.. extorted.. sometimes even terminated."
Khandor shrugs, "I'm here for one reason, and that's to obtain this artifact of yours and return it to it's proper dimension.. but if it also means helping the people then I am willing to assist your.. what are they called again? Protogens.. and you are called..?"
"A Primagen."
"I see. Well, then I have two requests to make judging from the situation at hand before we can get started."
The larger creature folds its arms across its chest. "Alright, let me hear your requests..."
Khandor turns to face the primagen fully, looking up at him. "I need access to a city map, district layouts, who is in charge of each district and the location of as many installations as possible."
"Granted. I will have my team give you what information we have on hand.. what is your second request?"
The protogens face changes into one of a digital smirk, "I need access to your armory. I require guns, lots of guns.."
