I love how you are able to put so much expression in characters that have their eyes covered! Like Dino-Mite! Is there a certain reason you often leave their eyes out/covered, or is it a stylistic choice? I like it, I am just curious as to if there is a story behind it! <333
Aw thanks <33 theres so much more to expression than just the face and drawing these two has taught me a whole lot!
As for the reasons to why? Lore stuff! As a soldier Petrol and Dino gets blasted with propaganda, and its easier if it's all audio. But in certain situations they can get vision by plugging into a camera, the port being under their helmet, though they can only see in wireframe. Cameras are mainly used for vehicle control and varies emplacement weaponry.
BUT when I first first drew Petrol I did it cause it looked nice and was fairly easy to draw, but what I didn't realize was how much it'll teach me about body expression!
