Nathan, after transforming into an anthro hawk, tries to sleep in his bed. Unfortunately for him, he's a back sleeper and he's not quite sure how he's supposed to get any rest with these wings moving around behind him. I actually have spent a lot of time trying to think of how a six limbed bird anthro would sleep comfortably in a bed, and I honestly haven't come up with a particularly good solution yet. Perching would be an option, but that's not exactly in a bed, now, is it. If you've got some idea of a way to make this work with these body mechanics, feel free to discuss it down in the comments; I'd love to see if someone else has a better idea than "Sleep on your stomach and splay the wings out".

I usually sleep on my front IRL, which very conveniently also would get wings and a tail out of the way.
I think if you were sleeping on your back with wings, you would want to pile up pillows and/or blankets under your legs and head, and then put something really soft under your back so that your wings can squish down into it.
I think this would only mainly be a problem for winged anthros that were transformed from a non-winged form, since the likelihood of a winged anthro who has been one since birth becoming a back sleeper is probably pretty low

A padded bench or a narrower top custom bed would be needed, I should think. Like regular bed around the waist down, but it narrows up towards the back of the neck and head so the wings can be folded or spread out. Downside to that is that, is the wings might drag on the floor.
Maybe pile pillows along the wall side, and a pillow under each wing joint?
Man this is a weird yet interesting thought.

I’m imagining a wraparound sling or garment that can be worn. With tailored padding on the backside to support the torso, ‘sleeves’(similar to what you see on a harp) to keep wings folded and secure, and a quick release clasp on the front. Like a hug but with pads to distribute weight off of the shoulders.
