Chanticleer mostly likes rockabilly nowadays, but he does like one country artist: Hank Williams. Chanticleer has always loved to listen to blues stations on the radio, but he also tuned in to WSM to listen to up-and-coming acts performing at the Grand Ole Opry, with Williams becoming one of his favorites following his debut in 1947.
Since he got married to Goldie in March 1955, Chanticleer sometimes walks up to Goldie while she's cooking breakfast and sings a few bars from Williams' 1951 hit song "Hey Good Lookin'" to her in a cute, flirtatious way. Goldie loves this bit of playfulness, and gives Chantie a peck on the cheek in return.
