Terror.
Terror was the first emotion that ran through his mind. Paralyzing all rational thought and action as that creature stepped closer.
Fear.
Fear and a flinch were his reward for being so inactive, as those terrible claws extended, framing his face between those deadly blades.
Even as his heart raced and his life flashed before his eyes, he couldn't help but take in every aspect of the towering being before him.
Those exotic colours, the warriors stance it took, and the echoing growl-clicks uttered forth from those fanged mandibles...
It was looking into the face of something so alien, so foreign, and so deadly, he could feel his heart spasm...perhaps in something more.
