I don't know if that would be fair, what if someone's new in community and just want a furry character? Or lost previous account but want to participate in auction? Or makes account only to participate in events like this? I'm not very familiar with auctions but idk if rule like that would be okay or not. When I was looking how other users here make their rules for auctions I haven't noticed rule like this : o
When creating a new account, you can fill in the profile descriptions, information about yourself and the gallery. When I do a Ruffle I don't allow new or Ruffle-only profiles to participate. I consider this disrespect for the chance to win for ordinary participants who have been running their character's page on the Internet for many years
You can't force people to upload their personal info to the website because you think the account looks fake without it. Also, if you'd had an argument that they can upload any other info in the description that also would be invalid argument because if you don't want to share info about yourself and any of your characters then how to fill the profile info? "Hey guys that's my new account but I decided not to upload my personal information because I simply dont want to" would look even worse than profile without any description. If you're against empty acconts participate in auctions you must belive the blank account is made by seller to bump their own auction to the higher price but that's invalid thinking too. The seller can create fake account and fill it by any fake info and random avatar and it would be as fake as account without any info and pic. Forbidding empty accounts to enter an auction is not the solution to the problem. This is the behavior of NY that recently removed the subway benches to keep homeless people from sleeping on them. Of course, this won't fix the problem, and neither will the ban on auctions for empty accounts
I agree with you, this is not a solution. Maybe, in case of suspicion of the account of damage to the auction, it is worth contacting him through private messages to confirm the intention of the purchase and, in case of not getting in touch, exclude him from participation in the auction🤔🤔🤔
