I said sometime ago that I was going to use only four characters now.
Three of them I had for a pretty long-ass time. From what I've been told, they were terrible, and I'd have to agree with them.
I did a lot of stuff with those three over the years, but when I started posting stuff online years ago most, if not all, characterization that was probably there went right out the window in favor of asking artists clearly more talented than me for trades, requests, and the occasional commission here and there. Nothing wrong with that, it's just that I did it ALL THE FREAKING TIME. That dilutes whatever statement you want to make with your characters even further.
That said, the other day I looked through all the stuff I did, even the stuff I didn't post online, and tried to come up with some basic characterization based on all that's there, and for three of them, that's what I came up with. I even had a few chats with friends and others on this, as well.
As for Demi, she's practically new, so she gets a lot of my attention for right now. I don't want her to suck, in terms of characterization.

Well, sarcastic (possibly self-centered) bitches seem to be really popular these days. At least in the male circles. And who doesn't love a good ol' ditz? Those never go out of style.
Lori looks neat. I think I drew her once, didn't I? And what's a "straightperson"?
Demi appears to be... very nondescript. Quite, actually. I hope you can iron out a nifty personality for her, poor girl looks like she desperately needs one.
And what's up with her long ears? Is she an elf?
Well, looks like you've got an idea. I'm no writer by any extent, and my character development skills are deader than a zombie, so it won't take much to impress me.
