"Your name is Pestilence. Now you know why you are called Plague Rat. Look around you. All of this is done by your hand, and not a single twinkle of magic or utterance of hex, not a puff of gunpowder nor a spark of flame was used. Only you. You see now? Everything you touch turns to ruin. Everything you try to build collapses fantastically into oblivion. Every good thing you lay your crooked claw on rots and turns to waste. Every well-wish you wish, every dream of hope you dream, becomes ruination and blight for the living. Every warm mortal heart you worm your wicked way into cracks and shatters. Now you know. You do not live a cursed existence; you ARE curse. Now go, and spread plague over all the land."

Makes one wonder, apart from depression, how a character who is LITERALLY a Biblical-proportions Plague deals with life?
Perhaps it's my own twisted thinking at work (I tend to do this to every archetype and character idea), but somehow I feel there is more to the fellow. This is what heroes are built on, and dammit if he wouldn't make a great story.

yeahhhhh i have thought about it many times and it's something i would like to do, but i never seem to be able to keep the momentum during the phase of coming up with and fleshing out ideas for characters and storylines and it always fizzles. webcomics are not easy if you want it to be something special. i could do stick figures and absurd humor but i want to do something that would be unique and special and something people would actually connect with, and characters they'd actually like, care about and love and stuff. a good story. tis difficult.
