The Five-Trunk Beast approaches the squirrel, filling the young archer with thoughts impending doom and his mortality.
Suddenly, the beast stops and inspects the squirrel.
The squirrel, filled with unending dread, thinks to himself, "This is the end, of me and all this world. It shall devour me and all that I know and cherish, leaving nothing. This outer being has seen and knows more than I know and should ever know, inconceivable things from beyond this world and time. How am I to be in anyway able to comprehend its eldritch thoughts when its very form bends my mind like beeswax in my hand?"
The beast stared on, unaware its very presence warps and shatters the fragile mind of the poor adventurer it wishes to befriend.
Been on a Lovecraft kick lately.
