13 was missing

Yeah, I remember my first trip to the east coast I went from VA to NY, and we stayed in a few hotels that were taller than 14 stories.

They don't name the 13th floor because of superstitious people. That's the honest reason. No one wants to rent rooms on the 13th floor.

I personally think that people are reading into that number a little to much xD But whatev' to each their own.

It's common to have buildings have no 13th floor because of the bad luck associated with it. Also, 5 is missing; could be a floor restricted to staff or maintenance or something like that.

There was a movie one time called the 13th floor the number was there and so was the haunted floor.

they should have skipped 4 rather than 5... 4 is "shi" in japanese, which is also Death...
