Ah, I see; I asked because I understand that dingos can live in the wild but can also be kept as domestic pets.

Indeed they can :3 We learned at the reserve that there are only a few hundred pure-blooded dingos left in zoos, and that most kept as pets are dingo-dog hybrids, and they're trying keep a breeding program going so that the species doesn't die out.

Awesome. Now that I think about it, I remember riding on the subway and saw a lady who had a dog she said was a dingo, although I'm not sure if it was a purebred or hybrid.
