I tend to have a messier sketch at first and then I do the cleaner lines on top of it, which is what the lines are here. In the past I would use a smooth brush rather than a pencil brush, and I would spend a ton more time making the line art look really clean. But I feel like when I do that it stiffens a bit? So the pencil brush saves me time and I end up liking it more lol
Interesting! It definitely does have a fluid "sketch-like" feel to it. I get it, line art can be really rough to deal with. I use photoshop and I use the smoothing feature a LOT. I'm always changing the smoothing percentage as I work. I know procreate has a smoothing feature also, but it's called something else.
