I know many who are not what I would call 'fans' of spiders but I like them. #1 is they're devious and creative. So many ways to trap their prey and webs are not their only way. #2 is they are very fast. I have never met a slow spider. #3 is that their eyes are reflective just like an animals. In the dark, cast a light upon them and they shine just like mine.
Of all the spiders I love wolf spiders. I once held one in both of my hands. I say both because it was so big that the span of it's legs reached the edges of both of my hands. It's body as big as my thumb. And a beautiful grey, almost furry body. Such a lovely creature.
