I dunno, grappling with association I suppose. I can conceive of music and 'standard' imagery. This kind of imagery... I dunno, my brain doesn't quite make the association, trying to figure out exactly how one comes the conclusion of your choice of representation, like, "How does a musician make a song that sounds like love?"

i suppose you could say i see the ripples the emotions make, if that makes sense
this is just me showing people how i see the world, how i see ideas and thoughts and themes
though of course, people don't see it for what it is, but they still derive pleasure from it

As I've had it explained to me, Acedia/Sloth is also giving up. It's a sin because it can lead to suicide. Suicide is a sin, and because you're now dead, you can not repent. Or so the logic goes for those that believe in it.
